Burnley Community Network commissioned New Era to undertake a study of the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector Organisations in Burnley. There have been many studies in recent years which have tried to grapple with the problem of understanding the VCF or ‘third’ sector. It was intended that this study would undertake just such an analysis of the VCF sector in Burnley and set this against the national picture.
