In the past New Era's Support work for community and voluntary sector groups has been carried out by New Era gaining public funding to run projects to provide this support.

However more and more work is being carried out for organisations which have themselves secured the funding and have elected to employ New Era to undertake work of a specialist nature.

In this case organisations receive funding to run projects - and are obviously most interested in carrying out the work of that project - and they "buy in" from New Era services they find difficult to manage by themselves.

These services vary from group to group, and include Recruitment for staff, and all the policies and procedures that go with becoming an employer - contracts, Health and Safety, employment rights etc
