Frequently asked questions

How much are the course fees?

Funding for course fees is available through New Era from the European Social Fund via the Job Centre Plus and the Lancashire Learning and Skills Council. Please ask and we will check if you are eligible to receive this funding. If not, we will provide you with course fee information.

Are there any other costs involved?

Yes. There will be a registration fee to pay this will be £20.00 if you are working more that 16 hours , £5.00 if you are not. This will cover the cost of registering you with the awarding body.

Where are the courses held?

The courses are held at community venues. The Sion Baptist Church and Chai Centre in Burnley are the current venues being used, but they may be held at other venues, depending on need and demand.

When do the courses start?

Courses are running all the time. The next start date will be made available to you on request.

Our Tutors

All our tutors have extensive teaching experience and all have several years practical experience in their fields. They all have a recognised teaching qualification.

Our Assessors and Moderators

All the work undertaken by students is assessed and moderated/verified, both internally and externally. Our internal assessors and verifiers/moderates are fully competent and experienced. External moderation/verification is undertaken by the awarding body. You will be informed about the assessment procedures when you start your course.
